Marriage Defiled

Marriage bed is undefiled
Take your posture
Up or down
Cycle, rectangle, triangle
Octagon, pentagon, hexagon
You tell me
What intrigues thou?

Marriage is defiled
The marriage construct
Deconstruct and reconstruct
Several authors abound
Who art thou that appoints?
Marriage material thou art not
Men and women not perfect seeking perfection
Thou who respect not, seeks respect.
Oh yeah man know not that what thou sow you surely reap.

Forgive my Shakespeare
Thou Pompous society
Clearly boundaries overstepped
Thou who set the marriage goal
What right have you?
Why oh maidens are you running to and fro?
Why have you whittled out in search of ........
Sold out peace, respect and value
Lost so much your identity at the dictates of I must marry
Human dignity and worth
Marriage cannot define
Marriage only amplifies

Therefore let us exist in peace oh yeah righteous society
Leave the maidens be until a companion worthy of entrusting the dignity of womanhood arises.
Choose they not to arise
Thou art not wanting
For thy price is far above rubies
Weep not; sell not; for thy dignity is the dignity of all women
Equals we are, commodity we are not.

  1. I wish the ladies in this my youthful generation will internalise and, be guided by this literally loaded truth. Moreover, most of them have sleepless nights over marriage, they end up being played for their desperation while some live a life of agony in their husband's enclave.
